Want to learn programming? There are many ways to go about it. If you enjoy a challenge, you can always teach yourself. However, this gets tedious and is not recommended unless you have a lot of time on your hand and are very patient. Also, there are many books out there that teach programming and provide step by step instructions. This is a step above teaching yourself but again gets tedious. You can always have a programmer friend teach you or hire a tutor. This provides individual attention but can get expensive or can strain a friendship. Probably the best way to learn to program is to enroll in a course at the local college or computer center. You can even take an online course, if you so desire.
Whatever way you choose, be prepared to put time and effort into the learning process. To be able to program you need a lot of practice and time. Learning to program is not just about learning the language but about being able to pay attention to the minutest detail.
