Do You Want To Expand Your C Knowledge?

Microsoft introduced C as a competitor to Sun Microsystem’s Java. Unfortunately, the slightly easier to use coding language came too little, too late to make much of a difference to Microsoft. Java was already well-established across multiple platforms. The company that produced it also better knew how to handle multiple platforms. However, you can still find use for C. Java is difficult to use and not as C-like as many people would hope. If you want to expand your knowledge of C, you have many options.

Although C came from a commercial company, the development platforms cost money. The language itself does not. A person who wants to expand his knowledge can find any number of sites devoted to Microsoft’s multi-platform language. Any computer topic has a Dummies book and a Complete Idiot’s guide book devoted to a topic. The books make great reference materials. A person can also find information far more quickly in a book devoted to a given topic than he can searching through search engine results on the Internet.

If all else fails, he can take a course on the subject at a local post-secondary education institution. Many colleges offer adult non-credit learning programs. The cost is often less than a college course.
